Six Months in London!
I'm going to be a total cliche here and say wow, does time fly when you're having fun.
We've officially been Londoners for six whole months. I only realised a week ago that we were about to hit this milestone and I couldn't believe it had come so soon. We'd only just bloody got here! We've already smashed through 1/4 of our work visa! Ahhhhh!
I wanted to celebrate with cake.. but Corey is in prep for a physique competition and I'm currently doing the Whole30 Challenge so maybe we'll have to settle for a nice (dairy-free, sugar-free) British cuppa tea instead.
I'm doing a little recap of the best bits of our journey so far. Follow me down memory lane (there's candy at the end my children).
Bye Aus! We flew Brisbane to Sydney to Doha to London. I cried when we flew into London.
We explored London and got into the swing of things. We Found Jobs! And a Flat! and finally, finally, got bank accounts.
We ate a lot of great food.
We took our first #eurotrip (but missed out very first flight out). We travelled to France, Andorra and Spain.
Celebrated Christmas and New Years with our Spanish familia before visiting friends in Bayonne and lastly Paris.
We head back to Samoa for a funeral via Thailand and got to catch up with our family there and in Australia.
I got to do Stavanger, Norway solo and we took off to Stockholm, Sweden together. Most impressively though, we survived our first English winter.
There is so much more I could have included (especially food, we've eaten so much food here!). We've had such a life changing six months since we landed in London; not to mention all the places we got to see for the first time, and heading back home way before we'd ever planned on. Seven different countries, not including our stopovers in Qatar, Thailand and New Zealand. Not bad for our first six months. As fast as this time is flying by, we'll be back in Oz before we know it (which, to be honest, we are totally excited about already. Home is where the heart is after all.)
I'm not sure what trips are up next. We'll probably wait for Corey to win his competition (yes, win ;) ) before travelling somewhere else but we do have a weekend trip to Gloucester planned to see friends and my birthday is in June so we have to do some exploring then as well!
I hope you enjoyed this self-indulgent post about our trip so far. Please let me know in the comments what you like or don't like about the site. It's still in it's infancy but it is growing and I want it to be helpful to you so tell me what you want (what you really, really want.. sorry, Spice Girls got stuck in my head).
DIG IT? PIN IT!
